About This Game

Welcome to Primordial Nation! An ambitious 4X nation-building game that attempts to incorporate an immersive experience with your people! Spanning from near the Primeval State of Mankind to the Late Antiquity Period of Civilization!

Primordial Nation aims to offer a dynamic and detailed-oriented sandbox environment with a core focus in simulative control of your emerging nation from a band of wandering people group(s). Whether it be meticulously crafting your early settlements or wanting to command the vast logistics of a warring state against other emerging adversaries. It is all a worthwhile expedition into the unknown in these procedurally generated lands! The decisions that will carve out your histography timeline will measure all your events, culture, and traditions that will evolve through the phases of time!

4X Grand Strategy

Core pillars of featuring exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination. The cornerstones of your managing your people will require lengthy nation-building, diplomacy, and the evolution of strategic ascendance in this chaotic world. An emerging nation group must navigate the uncharted lands, extending its dominion of culture, harness the regional resources for wealth, vanquishing any foes that become an obstacle to your quests. All to have your nation emerge as the titan within this pseudo-authentic world!

Settlement Builder

At the heart of Primordial Nation will help introduce city-building mode into the fray! Every settlement you establish will be crucial to your strategic expansion. A 'region hex' that you inhabit will allow you to plan city defenses alongside the managing of districts. From laying the first huts to erecting monumental projects- all within your settlement as it grows amidst a backdrop of policies and population booms! Solidify a presence of style and function among your villages, towns, and cities!

Players can expect to city-build their capital settlement and some provincial capitals upon exploring and expanding into new territories. For the most part- villages, towns, and other types of settlements may not be fully customizable by the player. Now what can the players expect?

  • Auto-generated villages, towns, and cities with organic-fluidity in mind!

  • Dynamic building projects with personalized provincial layouts.

  • Managing RTS siege battles over settlements within Overview Mode.

  • Simulative crowd life and activity within settlements.

Visual Sense of Scale

Traversing vast landscapes, from sprawling deserts to lush forests, each brimming with life and opportunities. The game's world should feel like a god-like mode of living, breathing world, where every hex contributes to an immersive sense of grandeur and depth from the ground.

With the advent scale of the world, zooming in and out is critical for being able to understand and visualize the environments. Especially that of logistics, whereas logistics can and will break armies and even nations apart if left unchecked. Whilst still in early development, the fog of war and logistics will be primary ingredients to making this immersive world feel worthwhile to traverse for trading/diplomatic quests and/or warfare!

RTS Mechanics

Commanding units in strategic skirmishes, leveraging terrain, unit formations, and pure cunning to outmaneuver adversaries in a more detail mode. With a keen eye and swift decisions to help turn the tide of a battle with tactics. Instead of just auto-resolving from the Overview Mode of Units, players can expect to enter tactical mode to play out their battles to the ground level of detail. 

Replayability

Dynamic events and worlds can always be restarted in any new random session. Carve through the time for how your people will form a nation with random generated scenarios and maps. Whether from the very "primeval" time of mankind or a certain late-antiquity period of civilization. 

The ability to play and continue playing with customizable parameters for every session is critical for these types of immersive games to flourish in any new iteration. This helps alleviate fatigue and bring about more value with each and every gameplay!
