Steam must be running to play this game

If I start the game when Steam is disabled I get this error.
I cannot start the game from Steam when it is disabled?
For example Origins games are launched launcher and then the game. (Blizzard games are launched only launcher:D)

I feel your pain. The majority of Steam, Origin, Uplay, Ubisoft games you purchased on Steam that launch through Steam AND Uplay, Epic Launcher, Blizzard Launcher, even Wndows Store and Xbox Game Pass games pretty all (especially any games with online play or internet connectivity requirements) need to be launched through the launcher.

As much as I wish there was something I could do, there's unfortunately nothing I can (legally) do to make your lives any easier in that department. My apologies :/
At least Decent Icons doesn't require Steam or internet connectivity to run! (unless you want to use the Steam Workshop).
