Is It Possible To Completely Hide The Dock Background?

I currently have a hidden background but when I click into the empty space around my icons I get a semi transparent rectangle which is pretty unsightly.

I'd really like to hide this if possible.

That gray background is supposed to show up just to make it clear that you're clicking on the app, in case someone is trying to click-through part of the app that isn't click-through-able.

But it should only be there for a second and fade out. Is it not fading out?

Hey, thanks for getting back to me. It is fading out, I just happen to miss-click more often than not - five months into lockdown using only a laptop; I don't think it would be an issue if I was using my desktop.

I've recently switched from version 1 to version 2 and it's the only thing that's different between the way I have the two set up.

Thanks for your work though, I used version 1 for about a year and it's made my experience with W10 much better.
