Happy cooking! We'd love to hear all of your idea's and suggestions.

Is a system a little too fiddely for your liking? A specific UI feature that would make things easier? Would you like more customization options?

Dump any idea's youd love to see below and we'll be sure to see what we can implement into the game.

Having issues with your employees? I rarely ever have someone die. Now that I'm making meth it seems to happen a little more often even with the masks and suits on for protection.

It's not very hard in the beginning or expensive to setup your drug lab then the most basic, bathroom, lounge and bedroom. This should generally keep everyone happy and alive. Even if you just want to purchase a single bed, arcade machine bathroom stall, etc until you have more money. At least they will have an option to rest. The more amenities you add the longer your people seem to live. You know, until the major shows up.

When Majors Attack!

So the Major just swooped in and destroyed MOST of your operation and killed your employees. This is inevitable at least twice in my game so far. Here's how you can quickly recover. I HIGHLY recommend ALWAYS having enough money to rehire your engineer and at least one employee and a cleaner if you can.

First rehire an engineer or 2 if you can afford it and set him to work almost around the clock. With 2 they will have everything fixed up SUPER fast. Within less than a day all of your equipment should be repaired. Now fire one and take the other down to the 4-8 hours a day based on the size of your plant.

Make sure to hire back an employee before you go negative if you have that low money. Continue hiring back up to your original employee count as possible. Get those deliveries going ASAP. Wait for some timed deliveries as those will net you the most profit.

They will never destroy your delivery vehicles which is great since they cost a decent amount to setup.

The 2nd time the Major came in I was just a little negative and had to sell some meth making supplies to get back on my feet.

Don't worry when he comes in it'll set you back a bit but the recovery is much easier than you might think.

*cheaters*

If you saved right before he came then you might be able to remove all the doors on your business. If you wait til the raid all modification tools are disabled.

Restaurant fire - Am I supposed to be able to do something about a restaurant fire ? The entire place is consumed and the fire dept doesn't show up ? I don't have any fire extinguishers to deploy either.

It seems like when I have a grill I basically have at least one fire a day. Since I can't prevent them it's basically a death wish for everyone in the restaurant and I'm constantly rebuilding it. This is not fun.

Quality Tiers - I love the quality tiers but the COSTS of running a heater or most of the devices that need to raise quality are INSANE. $200 / day to run a heater? It's almost impossible to get quality higher than 2 stars and make any real amount of money. The increase in value isn't nearly enough to cover the costs of all the expensive devices you need to run. This needs major rebalancing. I understand you want it to be challenging but a heater costing more than an employee is weird and doesn't make sense.

Grill in restaurant - I was having an issue where the grill kept exploding and I come to find out IT NEEDS A HEATER ? Guys, what??? So now i have to run a HEATER next to a GRILL That is HOT so it doesn't EXPLODE??? come on.

Food quality - I've gone through a few different staff at my chicken restaurant and half the time these idiots have oil on their hands (or something) and just constantly drop and contaminate the food or just drop it somewhere and leave it. What is the solution for this ??? Some of the staff I've had never do it.

I've tried moving the appliances around, I have a full time cleaner. My place is 3 stars currently. Engineer works regularly.

Game Balance -

Cost of 8 boxes of Cloudy delivered to customer: $2100
Cost of 1 box sold at your chicken shop: $675

If I sell 8 boxes of cloudy at my chicken shop it would be $5400

A bit strange figuring how much harder it is to deliver to a customer than the same place over and over again.

There are a few things that could be improved as of now:

1: The dispatch system needs to be improved a lot or overhauled completely. It is really complicated once you have more than a handful of drivers and more than one type of product to deliver.

2: The amount of money you start with should be higher, and the cost of selling product to hotlines should be doubled. These two reasons make the beginning of the game very slow, it is hard to expand when you are scraping by for a long time.

3: The game's max speed needs to be increased, this relates to the money problem too. It takes way too long to make profit in order to start expanding the business. Many games I sit and stare at the game at 3x speed for an hour before being able to expand or do much.

4: The tutorial should include building a business as the last part. Without building a business to sell the product, the player is very likely going to end up with negative money and no way to get out of it.

5: The exploding grill should not cause that much destruction, it should be less punishing especially that some people might buy it at 3x speed (like I did).

I am loving this game! I was so excited when the open beta came out, and I can't wait for the complete game to be released!

I will be posting in the bugs thread about the bugs I encountered.

Loving the game so far! Here's some things I've come across that I've noted down:

The legislation monument doesn't seem to do anything, at least for my laundrette (even after levelling the monument 4 times my laundrette is still 06:00-19:00

The order hotline monument is actually overpowered - levelling it up to 75 signal strength and just selling basic weed is by far the most effective strategy I have found and can be done very early in the game

Staff seem to just always queue up for the nearest appliance they need in the lounge, resulting in backlog and pathing issues especially when there's 3 or more staff on break at the same time. They do this even if there's the same appliance nearby, they only value the nearest object. They also seem to use the arcade machine 10-20x more than the sofa with large TV right next to it, regardless of positioning.

Upgraded items like the ceiling lights and larger heaters seem to offer no benefit over the basic parts. Perhaps reduce the running cost or increase area of effect of these - although I'm quite sure this will be done in future.

The value of higher level drugs should be increased to account for the unlocking and increased difficulty of operating them, and as a reward for progressing.

Same with upgrading business licenses - I upgraded laundrette licence from level 1 to 3, replaced all of the appliances with the more expensive counterparts and there was 0 increase in business profit.

Anyway, great work so far love the game!

Hello Devs,

1st of great game, lots of amzingness just as expected from the videos before the available purchase pre launch release.

Please bear with me as I share my 15 hrs of game play in 2 days.

Menu... Very nice and clean and I really enjoy the little video that plays in it.

Loading screen, as it says work in progress no big deal. Just a bit longer then liked, but the game more then makes up for it.

TUTORIAL....

This is the ONLY tutorial I have NOT beat yett. Id say complete, but biggest issue in the tutorial is that you allow the player to make their own choices and buy stuff before the Tutorial tells you to, which then gets me stuck. So this is why I say I have NOT beaten the tutorial. Maybe dont let the tutorial player have different choices then the tutorial wants you to do, and dont let a player purchase and place stuff before the tutorial tells you to?

Game play.....

I really love this game. You have just about everything in it that ive always been looking for.
I say just about, well, maybe I have not got far enough yett, but to be able to send your gunman to repay the visit to the competing Definitely Not Fried Chicken places and well pay them a visit as they say. WOULD BE AMAZING!!!

it took me a minute to figure out the delivery process. It wasnt very clear from the beginning, but after a few do overs I managed to figure it out. This probably took longer because of my issues with Tutorial. I would love to see orders to be more practical. I am not sure why everyone has to have 8 orders or more. Having three bikes aka Mopeds wink wink. It takes for ever to deliver 8 out of 8. Cost me more to run these guys then the 8 out of 8 deliveries actually bring it. $750? By the size of the box it looks to be a good pound of weed at least, for 750? What I would really like is randomness in orders. start by smaller people asking for some DNFC orders like 1 out of 1 for 100 to 500 and move up to bigger orders. I know by having a vehicle "car" you can deliver 4 boxes at a time, but its takes so long to get a car, my Chicken coop is broke by then.

Ive made many runs over and over in the 15hrs of AMAZING gameplay. 3 garages is what my best longest run was till I was broke and everyone died.

Bike paths could be better, but they are workable.

Glitches....

when getting attacked, if you fire all your employees.... attackers just leave and will not destroy anything.

Some walls dissapear when placing a door on them, usually in a tighter area of other objects.

Workers seem to have issues with to many back rooms. its like they get lost.

Non employees enter employee only section NOT COOL.

Last but not least, would be nice to be able to run DNFC business out of back of the laundry mat or fast food place, not just storage.

ALL in ALL Thank you for letting us play, for hopefully taking your time to read some of this, and most of all for the AMAZING GAME!!!

Thats as far as I got in the gameplay....

Without question now I always start with at least 10 excellent plants and 4 scooters. That gives you a really good start and just hammer the first orders with all your deliveries. Don't let them go wherever they want. I can get the amazonian weed (and fan drier and auto chopper) in the first hour of play and that includes not making any profit from the university. Next thing to slam hard is the car at the Scrapyard then the money really starts rolling! Remember you can go negative without any consequences! Unless your people are dying a lot!

After playing this game for over 20 hours, and unlocking/building everything possible at this moment, I can say with certainty that the delivery system needs to be overhauled and completely automated.

With 4 businesses, 16 delivery cars, and the production of all possible products, the delivery system is extremely bloated and inefficient. The game already has enough features, delivery does not need to be one of those player features.

Cars/mopeds should just go where they are needed, and spread their deliveries evenly across all business and hotlines. When I have 16 cars and fast production, I don't want to be telling each car what to take and where and when to take it. Maybe make it so that you have to hire a "Dispatcher" instead of making deliveries automated from the beginning.

I imagine when all the features of the game are in the game the current delivery system would be completely unusable. We are currently at less than half of the amount of features/content this game will have, only 4 products and 3 business types. I can't imagine trying to play the game without automated deliveries.

Played 11 hours so far and am really enjoying the experience. I think you have nailed the concept and i love the front end design, and I reckon you have got the humor aspect just right.

I think the build menus could be more intuitive, simplified possibly. Currently lots of icons in a dense cluster, perhaps these could be bigger, clearer buttons as currently you have to explore the panel for a minute or two to try to figure it out- at least I did!

The Deliveries system also could be streamlined, how about color coding the vehicles for more ease of use?

Overall I'm really excited for this game and am pleased to be able to chip in ideas which will help in it's development.

Would a UI scaling option help do you think or should the iconography and interface be totally reworked?
eeyan 16 Sep, 2022 @ 9:08pm
For me it's not a matter of the UI size per se, I can see it easily enough, even at my age ;), so a scaling option wouldn't add anything.

Looking at the Build UI you essentially have 3 sections to it- 1/Choose Room Type, 2/ Paint selected room type and 3/ Add fittings and furniture for the selected room type. I feel this progression, which is simple and logical, is somewhat obscured by the current Build menu UI layout. The three steps are not clearly defined at first glance, and they could be with some simplification and jigging around of the elements.

It would be easier for me to sketch something out for you rather than try to explain it using words, how about I do that and PM you in a few days?
