Definitely Not Fried Chicken

Vezi statistici:
The early game is way too unforgiving.
Build a slightly too large base? You're going bankrupt.
Not micromanage every small detail? You are going to go bankrupt and then die.

The early game needs to be a little more forgiving. Early drugs need to make more money.

The only things that cost money monthly are AOE emitters, people, and trucks. You should never go bankrupt in the early game. It's a management game so I'm not sure what you mean by not micromanaging, but if you 'build too large', just remove the AOE emitters, fire some people, and get rid of some of the trucks you don't need and you should have a positive cash flow as long as you are selling things.

I'm not too sure about "forgiving" by making drugs cost more, but there does need to be a way to dig yourself out of the early negative-earnings hole. I've made similar mistakes myself when I decided to do a clean restart.

A loan system may be an ideal alternative. You can get enough money to repair your setup but you will progress slowly through the rest of the game unless you pay the loan and its interest rate off.

Or maybe add in a location similar to the scrapyard but instead of point it gives out below-market payouts for taking in whatever drugs you deliver (essentially a place where you can make money without managing a business)?
Unforgiving? Did you make the mistake of doing Hotline orders straight away and 3 star basic weed? If you go for a Laundromat straight away selling 2 star basic weed at the start you should never be remotely close to going bankrupt. Indeed you will be making bank and progress rapidly.
I am unable to HIRE anyone. see screenshot. Also check out the dollar amount, it's reading as a NEGATIVE number when it should be POSITIVE. If we can't HIRE folks and collect our funds, then the game is unplayable and needs to be pulled immediately until ready to launch. This IS a GAME STOPPER. I am running the latest patch (1.10.11 or something like that).

By far the main issue is the mopeds are so incredibly ineffective

Just you wait until you get further into the game...the mopeds will be the LEAST of your gripes
early game buy a laundrymat . get 6 plants hire a few staff and buy the mat with starting funds. double the basic weed selling price will put you way up in early game it become to easy then dont even need to use the delivery service.. granted i have not played since the addded police raids so that may change the strategy

nope. police will start off by only asking for 300 bucks and some change if you go the route of 3 star weed and hotline orders. buy a mat and the first time the police demand money its 500 and some change. keep in mind, regardless of your progress the police will continue to demand more and MORE money each time. so every two or three days they will demand an increased amount.
