Cops are always OP
I keep thinking I'm prepared, have different guard varieties prepared with all kinds of unlocked weapons from aliens, robots but no matter what there seems to be more cops than before and they seem to also have more health than before. I have NEVER been able to handle the cops with my guards and they destroy all my things. Why is this even a thing? I make a million dollars and suddenly they want more, and more, and more. This is ridiculous. Does anyone know how to deal with them?

I have had a similar experience ..

I build some sort of a long corridor with traps , you could also try something like a maze as entrance to your factory and put mines and guns everywhere. Make sure to give your workers the sneakers so they dont trigger any traps. I never used guards and since i figured out that the long floor entrance full with traps work good , i never really had trouble with raids.

Yey, thats too mutch. I hope that they make some option to deactivate the cop-raids.

the ramp up from one cop who can be deterred by a pair of med strength doors to six cops with shotguns and respirators is bonkers. they are entirely OP.

If you have the object that creates a negative pressure environment use them. Have 1 entrance and have a long corridor, fill it with the negative pressure objects. Cops heads will explode before they can get into your factory

i wish there was a way to play without the ridiculous cop bribe system. at least a way to nerf it. the way it's currently implemented takes a bit of fun out of the game in my opinion.

before you press pay or reject, you can simply delete all doors to your factory, the cops will stand there and do nothing and after a little while will dissapear. Just remember to replace the door

Yeah, I had built a smallish corridor with the security walls, and laid a bunch of bear traps through it so it'd be something until I unlocked better traps. Swarm of cops ran straight through all the bear traps like they were nothing and didn't trigger a single one. Two guards with top tier shotgun got blasted away without killing anyone. Mind you, the cops previously had shotguns and pistols. This swarm? They've all got assault rifles and SMGs from what I could see.
So it feels like cops are broken, in they are ALWAYS significantly stronger than any sort of defenses we can put up. :/ I'd much rather put a bunch of money into assassinating the Police Chief and get some stooge in there that I can control instead.

So, I unlocked and employed the 5-shot shotgun booby trap. Watched the cop attack come in (After I removed the entry doors.), and watched at least one or two walk right through the shotgun attack area. No dead cops, much less injured. Which got me wondering. I know my guards fought back. But I don't think I'd really noticed ANY dead cops after the fact. Is it me, or do the cops just not take ANY damage?

I am having a similar problem when it comes to the bear traps, the cops just pass right through them, did the Gun traps end up working for you because I just spent a lot of money placing them down hoping theyd do something before the next attack, were you able to find a way to solve the cop issue?

I can confirm this works. they leave after 3 game hours if they can't find a way to get into your factory (just make sure all your dudes are inside when you do it). it seems odd that the game doesn't pause during the dialog as most games do, almost as if it was intended. in fact the game just keeps going. you could almost just ignore the request entirely and keep playing the game except that the dialog is rather large and in the way. just seems like this whole feature was slapped together without any thought or testing. at least its easily cheesed...for now...

<edit>
I can also confirm that the vacuum chamber trap also works very well. you just need to put the vacuum pumps behind three or four heavy doors to slow the cops down.

cops are defo OP i just got my 2nd laundromat and have the first type of weed and the cop wanted more than 9k (the amount i had on me noidea the real amount wanted) so he sent in about 8 guys with full bulletproof gear and one shot 3 of my guards with 7K worth of gear each .I get i could make a trap room and turn it into a tower defence game but it makes the guards, gym and gun shop pointless and sucks all the fun out the game really hope the devs change the cop raids to be doable with just guards

Definitely hate this system. Thanks for the tip on deleting doors, I was seriously about to just give up on this game until the dev came to his senses.

Agree that this completely sucks the fun out of the game. A million thanks for the cheese tip about deleting doors.

other people, I've asked say the best way to play the game is to sell huge amounts of the first weed and never upgrade it. and never unlock more than laundromats. and play like this until you can unlock all content in one swipe and have multi-millions to bribe them with whenever you need to.

It is just another fact that shows this game is still being developed. but apparently, you don't get introduced to the mayor until you make stuff other than weed, and the most basic weed financially is more valuable than the other two.

I've never tried this it seems a little bit much for me as a casual gamer but I've heard people saying it's the only way to deal with cops.

before you meet the mayor the cops are lame and don't ask for much and never really destroy your stuff.

I also heard that when you upgrade to a new drug never sell it retail only on missions that deliver in person. you can do this and get enough millions until you are ready to go full retail. the cops won't treat you as if you have developed a new drug until you sell it in a retail front. so you can play the game like this.

All this seems like a cookie-cutter strategy, so I stopped playing the game until it is more conventional

oh and yeah guards do nothing after you have met the mayor, but prior to that they have some use. after meeting the mayor it is best to just fire them currently in the games current condition.
