Trying to use a laundry shop as a front for "product" since the hotline sucks as you need a lot of garages to sell enough "product" so I set up a very basic shop. Only issue is like no one shows up, though I am only a few minutes in but with my other failed runs I also never saw anyone show up. Any ideas on how to increase customers? Besides the billboards since I got like 4k.

no clue, when i set up a laundrymat on center lane people show up. but when i made a donut shop on church lane, nobody shows up

Yeah finally saw that it doesnt auto change over when business hours start. If only the tutorial actually said that

jup, to me its an oversight, it should for one, be always set to open when you make a new one, customers not being served has no downside as far as i can tell. i wonder what the strategy behind closing a buisness even is. if remodeling took time or if customers complain and lower your rating, but as it is right now, its only something to entrap and frustrate noobs like us.

Some businesses require you to cook the menu items before having customers such as donuts or chicken.
Having these set to closed allows you to stock up before customers come. Same with populating your storage with some drugs.
