How to build in the laundromat?

I might just be dumb but I cannot figure out how to place any items in the laundromat. I bought it just like the tutorial shows and then it says you completed that tutorial but it wont let me place any items inside. I place a door and I cant place washers, news stands, or any other items inside for some reason. Anyone else experience this or have any insight on what might be going on?

sURE YOU GOT IT BUT i HAD THIS ISSUE HIT BUILD AND MAKE SURE TO HIT THE LAUNDROMAT THING THEN CLICK AND DRAG TO BUILD LAUNDROMAT ROOM ITS ALL DIFF ROOMS, caps

I figured it out, had to place laundry flooring (just rego over the building with the laundry build button) and it worked. But I got a bug that wouldn't let me create a customer bathroom. Kind of stupid.
