and maybe place a single corner piece
Police chief will ask every few days and it gets higher i think it has a solid start and then goes up 2x-4x the previous price
I dunno how it will actually be calculated
Otherwise, no gates, you can build a death tunnel an only 1 way entry, make an outer corner made out of corridor rooms and yeah, doors. traps.
No need, they can't get through the gap.
The price is random. It does start lower, but after a while it just depends. I'm on day like 126 and sometimes he wants 50k, sometimes it's 1.5k, sometimes without warning, he just says, "Because you didn't pay last time, I'll make an example this time" or something to that effect, and then attacks me. The attacks seem to get harder each time though. I've been attacked 4 or 5 times and each time it's more guys. Though, 4-5 times is hardly a reasonable sample size, so it could be a coincidence.
They never go through the garage doors, so you don't need to wall off the street or anything. They have a tendancy to attack defensive walls, whether it gains them access to somewhere or not. The raid only lasts so long, so if you have enough defensive walls to keep them busy, they might just settle for that and leave, then your engineer can run around and fix it all.
I build in a way that there is only ever 1 entrance to a building, and that entrance is a hallway made of corridors and "grow rooms" (or whatever room you can use that won't join a room next to it). Basically, make a 2 wide hallway that's cut into multiple 2x2 sections, and alternate the side the reinforced door is on in each section. This helps take up their time and prevents them from getting too far into your buildings. I have maybe 28 employees and only 2 are guards (who never really do anything except cost me 10k+ to replace after they die).
