DISCUSS YOUR POTENTIAL IDEAS FOR THE GAME HERE
So, some of us have been talking a little bit about the game (as we do here, from time to time) but in an interestingly unsolicited way on behalf of what would be the creative team. What exactly about? you might ask...and you certainly CAN ask that, but don't actually because I'm about to answer it right now :)

Very clearly, we all love the game and want nothing more than for it to continuously succeed and expand and become better and better for all of us and for the future players that are either still on the fence about buying or haven't discovered it yet. In actuality, there are very few issues left with the game in terms of game breaking bugs and weirdness, though there is still a few things that need tweaking. That's not what the intent of this thread will be though...

What we want to try to do is collect ideas from everyone in the community that wants to share -- from the most active of players all the way to the very newest of us -- for what they feel would be a great addition to the gameplay and progression aspect, since after a certain point when you've done everything, there's no actual endgame situation and nothing else to do other than collect money.

We're doing this in the hopes that the development team will take notice and perhaps consider implementing some of them...or some version of them at least...since not all great ideas are possible to put into a game and not all great ideas are easy to create, nonetheless, all great ideas are still great ideas and deserve to exist and be considered. On that note, perhaps we could get this thread pinned? (fingers crossed) This way it'll be easily accessible and not lost to the waves :)

To be clear, we aren't looking for complaints or bugs or anything of that nature here. We'd like to hear brand new ideas for things you think would be cool and fun to do in the game that aren't already in it, since I'm sure we all have at least one thing we'd like to see :) It can be anything from the basis of a story or quest line, to a new feature or game mechanic that would spice things up, to perhaps an asset type. Maybe you have ideas for mini-games or activities. Perhaps a consideration for even a secondary passive feature (like the gym. billboard, hotline, etc) that would add an extra layer.

The only limit is the boundaries of your creativity and I'm curiously excited to hear what you've got! :) I even have a few ideas of my own that I'll share. So let's see what you've got!

Obviously not. People don't need to be on the dev team to offer ideas and input. We're all part of the game's community and have an interest in wanting the game to be awesome. If you don't, that's fine...but don't come in here trying to hijack the topic. That's counterproductive and not the point of this. Mate.

The ability to go back to the main menu without exiting the game... hopefully this is my own error but for the love of me I haven't been able to figure it out 40 plus hours into it.

I think a cool feature/mechanic would be the ability to hire/schedule and place street dealers. Have the ability to choose what corner or street they work on and between what times (similar to how patrol zones work for guards). They would have a limited inventory, of course, and would need to be resupplied throughout the day, but that would be part of gameplay for them. Having a vehicle bring them stuff or have them go to a warehouse/factory to get more...or maybe have a box truck parked not far away for them to fill their pockets/jacket from (lots of options).

This could also be a great opportunity to implement rival gangs, which would encourage expanding the size of the city. We could have territories and wars over who gets to sell where by virtue of strength, numbers and fire power.

The street dealers (ours and rival ones) would also have to be mindful of police presence or pay bribes every now and then. Or the police factor can go deeper -- all the way to the top brass (us, being the boss of the gang) would be able to form an amicable relationship with judges/law enforcement for them to go easy on us.

Which brings me to the next angle. If a dealer gets arrested, they get detained if they don't escape. They then have to go to court to see what happens with their charges. We could have the option to pay bail, of course...if it's granted. I suppose the chance for that would be slightly RNG, but factors like if they were armed at the time of arrest, how much cash and drugs they were caught with and if they have previous convictions would all weigh against them in that decision.

If we get too many dealers in the city prison, perhaps there could be a thing where we could bribe the Dean (prison boss)...or, try to break them out. But as a penalty, we could be given the expense of having to send monthly commissary money for each of our imprisoned dudes. Send them drugs to try selling to other inmates maybe.

This is starting to sound like it could become a whole other game, but I think it would be a crazy awesome addition to this one. This isn't the whole thing, but it's a good start to get ideas rolling :) It would certainly add a whole new dimension to DNFC as a whole and would be legitimately exciting.
