When you *affect* something you have an *effect* on it. What screws people up is how you can say, "effect a change," meaning, "create an effect, and that effect is a change," but at the same time you can "affect" a personality or, well, an affect. Or you can just go by how the acronym is AOE. Also, you can make DMT from regular old phalaris grass that grows in New Jersey. /nooneasked
