Performance?

Before getting to the main topic, let me first address that I'm not using Windows and I'm running the game through Proton, which could be a factor and I'm aware that's not an officially supported option.

With that said, I happen to still have the DRM-free copy of FRB published by Rockin' Android that I backed up from Desura when it was still possible. I fired up FBF's release and it felt strangely sluggish to me compared to what I remembered, like it was running at half speed. I tried the old version and my suspicion proved correct, the old version works basically at the same speed as the trailer on the Steam store page while the new one is like in slow motion.

I didn't tinker much, but switching off DXVK, esync and fsync didn't help.

I have this issue too. The only solution/workaround I've found is switching to fullscreen (not Borderless Windowed)

I didn't try switching to fullscreen before you mentioned it and yeah, it works at full speed in fullscreen. I hope that's something patchable.

While we're on it, the game also crashes when I set the resolution to the same height as my native resolution, both windowed and fullscreen.

i also got some stuttering of the game. its not full 60fps constantly. its 60fps... and then every second there is a small stutter. The game runs at full speed. but with stutter. i am using nvidea 1660 ti grfx card 8gb ram and amd ryzen 7 cpu. all updated to the latest drivers. directx 12. Any workarounds?

EDIT: I tested this game also on my other PC's and systems. The game has the same slowdown there.. it runs 60fps.. but stutters verry subtle every second.

Please fix this devs!

I really like this game.. its awesome.. would be great if we can enjoy full 60fps like your other shmups
