I have ran Bakin on my M1 Max Studio via Parallels and it does start but you get a lot of errors which prevent you from going further. Parallels does not support the latest OpenGL format. I have also tried wine and a crossover demo but it was so cumbersome that I gave up. There REALLY needs to be a version for the M series Macs. I'm sure Bakin would run so much better on the new M4 series and probably sell more than on windows.

I'v already abandonned bakin :D. Started to use Unity6 +ork framework + makinom/c#. It's just better in whole. Just don't waste time on such toy software like bakin or rpgm.

Unity 5 does not run well on Macs, it wasn't optimized for Apple Silicon. I don't see anything regarding this on the unity 6 page. Also, I am not a programmer so Bakin's out of box "no programming necessary" suits my needs.

Lastly, Bakin is just a hobbyist tool. No one makes any AAA games on this and that's fine. I just want this to run on the current Macs so I can ditch my expensive Intel box which is outclassed by these cheaper and more powerful M4 chips.

Unity supports their editor with a version built for silicon, and running the standard version through Apple's compatibility layer. I'm not sure if the native version has reached parity though, but projects can be opened through either.

Mac seems to be the best platform to use Unity, it certainly doesn't run well on Windows.
