RPG Developer Bakin

RPG Developer Bakin

Suggestion: Add Scripting Support and a Free Version
Why Add Scripting Support?

Bakin’s event system is great, and scripting would make advanced features way easier to manage. Think about all the RPG Maker battle system plugins. Having scripts do the heavy lifting saves time and keeps things neat. For example… You know Persona 3's battle system? Something complex like that would be way harder to build without scripting.

Which Programming Languages Do We go With?

C# would be great. It's popular, flexible, and great for bigger projects. TypeScript could also appeal to web devs. Whichever language is chosen, please make sure plugins can be split across multiple files to avoid the mess RPG Maker users have dealt with since RMXP.

Why Make a Demo Version?

A free version of Bakin would help more people get comfortable with the $70 price tag. Just look at ORK Framework: it has a free version with solid core features. Something similar for Bakin could let users try before they buy. As for limitations... perhaps restricting commercial use or advanced scripting access would be good.

So Basically...

Scripting support could make Bakin way more powerful, and a free version would help more people dive in. What do you all think? Would these features improve Bakin for developers and newcomers alike?

There allready is plugin support with C#.

The engine is in early access, I think a trial version makes sense with the 1.0 release.

Dang, can't believe I didn't notice it already has plugin support. Surprised it's not advertised on the Steam page, given how big a deal that is. Btw, Jagonz, thanks for the link to the plugin list ^_^

While there is plug in support it's still pretty limited though it's there.
