RPG Developer Bakin

Feature Request Message for Official Channels (Streaming, Multiplayer, In-Game Media Support)
Hello Bakin Team and Community,

I’m working on a long-term simulation style project(or trying to but limitation) in RPG Developer Bakin and wanted to ask about the possibility of a few features being supported natively in the future (instead of via plugins). I believe these would open the door to a wide range of creative and immersive player experiences.

Video and Media File Support
– Ability to load external video files dynamically from a user folder at runtime (e.g., watch a personal video on an in-game TV or cinema screen).
– Support for letting players add their own media to a predefined folder and letting the game detect/use it.

External Executable Launching (for mini-games)
– Event commands that can launch a packaged .exe or app bundled in the game folder.
– Could simulate mini-game systems or other standalone tools launched from within Bakin.

Networking / Multiplayer Support
– Even basic peer-to-peer or LAN/local multiplayer functionality would open up so many possibilities: shared worlds, shared simulation experiences, or just simple co-op social play.
– Live synchronization of scenes (like watching a video together or attending a theater in-game) would be amazing.

In-Game File Detection / Runtime Importing
– Simple support for detecting certain files in a game folder (images, JSONs, text, etc.) that could be dynamically referenced at runtime—useful for user-created content or sandbox-style gameplay.

I understand these are advanced and may not align with the core goals of Bakin at the moment, but I think they would greatly expand what creators can do, especially those building simulation-style, creator-driven, or sandbox games.

Thank you for all the amazing tools you've already provided. I’d love to know if features like these are planned—or could be considered for future updates.

It would probably be better to just copy and paste this and send it to them through their request channel on their website. It's at the bottom of this page. https://rpgbakin.com/en/contact
I just did thanks!
