Hey there!

Of course I'm going to be biased in answering this, but I wanted to share my thoughts anyways.

The focus of MiniGolf Maker is to have the most powerful level editor ever created for a mini-golf game. This means many things, such as:
  • Complete control over the shape of your holes. You're not limited to a set of pre-defined green pieces. You can stretch, bend, and twist each and every green piece to get exactly the shape you want.
  • A powerful Behaviors and Events system that lets you make moving obstacles and greens.
  • Having the ability to create beautiful scenery and environments around your course. You can change the terrain, sky, water, and change the course's greens, barriers, flag, and tee styles.

I know several mini-golf games have level editors that look pretty good, but I don't think they are as powerful as MiniGolf Maker's. There is even modding support (which so far has been very under-utilized).

Of course a great level editor would be pointless without good gameplay. There isn't a whole lot about the gameplay that is distinct from other mini-golf games. The only somewhat unique gameplay feature is the power-ups. There are 11 of them in total, each having a unique effect that can be used to give yourself an advantage or sabotage other players.

I realize this is all kind of just promotional spiel coming from me, but hopefully it gives a good idea of what MiniGolf Maker has to offer :)

That sounds really good, so here are my 3 questions:
  1. Are all the MiniGolf Courses green?
  2. Are you able to change the color of the Greens?
  3. Can the balls play on other terrains or is everything else out of bounds?
Edit:
I did see the color changes for the greens in the video but the question is more so for the MiniGolf Courses that you can play when you get straight into the game. Like are all of them green or could you change them if you wanted, or would you have to make a completely new course/level?

For a ice or winter level I think it would be cool to have like a blue or light blue color for the MiniGolf Course (greens), and you may want other colors for courses where other colors would look better. And also I think it's nice to have different colors for different levels/courses as it makes them feel more different/new. (Oh and being able to play your ball on other terrains could open up other creative possibilities)

Other than that this looks really good to me and I could see myself playing this.

Hey there!

Yes, you have full control over the color of the greens in the level editor. It's entirely up to whoever is creating the course what color they want their greens to be, but for the Official courses included with the game, I usually stay with a color that's close to green, changing it slightly depending on the course.

And you also do have the ability to change the greens to be things like sand and ice, and the ball will bounce and roll differently on them. Sand makes your ball bounce less and slow down much faster, while ice has very little friction. The official "Cutlass Cove" and "Snow & Ice" courses included with the game have good examples of this.

Oh I see, so that means that the Official Courses greens stay the same way as they were created, so I'm not able to adjust the greens color on the Official Courses or Workshop Courses? - Meaning I would have to create my own course to have the color on the greens that I want...

Anyway I still like it so now it's time for me to play! :)

If you really want to change the green colors, any course (even official and workshop courses) can be opened in the level editor, where you can change anything you want and save it as a separate course. You can even upload your edited courses to the workshop!

Oh that's nice I didn't think of that, thank you
So far, I have been very impressed. This allows you to do more things than I expected when I got it. There is a steep learning curve, but that is to be expected with anything that has so many things you can do, and if you try things enough you will get the hang of it.

Another thing I want to say. The hold and release option is critical for timing shots, and many mini golf games don't have anything that works that well. I remember one that had only one option and with it power rapidly oscillated from zero to full power and back so fast (something like five times a second) that it was unplayable.
