You can just use Xpadder software or Steam controller configuration to use your controller unofficially for now.

Thanks for the advice Combo, but I have not heard the greatest things about Xpadder and I'm definitely not going to be trading in my xbox or ps controllers for a Steam one I will never use. Will just wait for controller support.

Any updates on whether or not controller support would be added? I game on a PS4 controller hooked to my PC. Some templates for PS4, Steam gamepad, or Xbox controllers would probably be really helpful to the playerbase/community.

Okay, my mistake for not reading that controller support is missing.
here I also read the developer's comment which dates back to 2 years ago, I don't think it's that complicated to add controller support.
I got this game yesterday to help the dev develop the next game, but I will wait for the release and really see what it is and if the support is consistent, before buying it.
In the meantime I'm refunding this, I'm sorry.
