Unable to play game My Beautiful Paper Smile for more than one minute

Every time I try to play this game, it freezes up and closes after 1 minute. I saw a solution on a steam discussion but it didn't work for me, and similar things happen for other games I have such as My Friend is a Raven, Night in Riverager, and Perfect Vermin. For all of the games mentioned, I was able to complete them by turning off my internet connection, but I honestly can't do that for this game because I'd be unable to save my progress since this isn't a short game. I've heard that it might be because of my antivirus, which I heard from a discussion on Perfect Vermin, so I'd like a full-proof solution that doesn't require me to turn off my internet connection. I was literally about to post about the same problem.

The game just straight up crashes after a minute or less of opening it.

Reproduction Steps:
1 - Open up the game
2 - Watch/Skip intro
3 - Game just crashes on its own, might happen during or after the Intro sequence

If anyone has any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to have found a solution. On a discussion for Perfect Vermin, a developer said that if you turn off your internet for 1 minute and then turn your internet back on after a minute has passed, you'll be able to play the game with an internet connection. I tried it for Perfect Vermin, My Friend is a Raven, and Night in Riverager, and they all worked.
