Game won't start! Someone please help!!!
Whenever i click play on steam the small square that says "Orion Dino Horde" appears, the my screen will go black, flicker a few times, than send me right back to my desktop and it says the game is still open. Whenever i click on the icon that is on my taskbar the same thing happens. My screen goes back and flickers, then sends me to my desktop. Can someone please help me figure this out. I really want to play and it looks like a ton of fun

I am having the same Issue, The game is on the task bar and is running but when you try to click on it, it will open a black screen with your mouse being the only thing visible. This lasts several seconds then you are sent back tot the desktop with the game still technically running in the backgroud.

Have you tried verifying your game cache? Right click the ORION: Dino Horde, go to Properties, and in local files, finally click the verify integrity of game cache. Try this, and see if that fix the problem, if not. Have you tried updating your video card to latest driver?

I sometime get black screen on other games as well, and I have to keep my video card driver up to date then it works again. If verify doesn't fix the problem, try updating your driver for video card (graphic card).

A few things to try after you try verifying game cache, and updating video drivers:
1. Lowering your screen resolution (try 1024x768) before starting the game. (You can adjust the settings once you get into the game)

2. Turn off windows firewall. (Don't forget to turn it back on)

3. Disable your anti-virus software, or put it in "gaming" or "silent" mode if your program offers it. (Don't forget to turn it back on after playing)

4. Uninstall and reinstall the game.

Also, this will not fix your black screen, but will improve your gaming experience: install Windows 64-bit to make use of the full 4 GB of RAM installed on your machine. You will need your Windows disc, and will need to do a clean installation. A clean installation deletes all data, so be sure to make a back up of anything important!

Cheers!

If you're using evga precision or msi afterburner along with riva statistics server, try quit those programs. It works for me :)

i have no idea what u r talking about i just got the game off steam and tried 2 load it. no special stuff added just the game. those arent on my laptop. i also tried all the things above. none worked. if it cant play on my laptop it would usually say so bot it didnt. i cant afford 2 upgrade anything so if der is nothing else i am screwed.
