Random crashes.
I had no problem yesterday but today I keep getting this error
Error in HandleInputOnThread (v204): Object reference not set to an instance of an object at GameCursor_GetAvailableActions__Patch.Postfix (GameCursor __instance, BaseObject& outTarget, System.Boolean& wantTargetHeader) [0x0017f] in <68e9d2356c2346729503765a5127c99b>:0

Normally I would try to fix it myself, since it literally says where the problem is, BUT the file and location it looking for, does not exist.
So why is it looking for something that never existed?

In any case, I keep looking. But it hard to fix a file that don't exist. So I am trying to find out what or "who" is searching for it.

Thanks for posting, this is a callstack telling me where the crash occurred in the code, so it's not referring to files you can see, but it's useful for me. However in this case looks like the crash is happening in one of the mods you are using - could be my latest build has messed something up for them or could be there was just a bug anyway. What mods are you using? Might be worth checking their workshop pages to see if they already know, or we can let them know if not.

Here ya go, I made it a bit easier and made them into a collection. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?edit=true&id=3273826898

I also did some testing quickly, and I found out it happens mostly when I am doing story missions (Story mode only missions) At this time, it was when I was "helping" poor charlie to get the green passes.

I think it might be the "Outliner" mod that I am using, because whenever I get close to the mail box it crashes. But I noticed if I forced my character (In this case charlie) to move to the mailbox from the RTS view, it won't crash.

Which is why my guess would be the outliner mod simply dont like "hud cursor" when on an story storage item. But it does remind me that the game has crashed when I have looked at cars as well. So for now, I will try to make fake files for the "game" to find, at the location it wants to find them.

This will give me textures problem, but rather that then crashes.
As for why it did not crash yesterday, it could be just luck. Or an invisible update. that screwed with the files.

-Cheers & Thanks for taking the time.

My guess is it could be SIS Leave Map On Foot, as that mailbox is near one of the map exits, and the code it's crashing in is code that decides what's going to go in the action menu (e.g. "Hit the road"). But I'm not sure and I couldn't get the crash to happen myself. I'll post on the mod comments and see if the author recognizes that function.

Ah, that is quite interesting. I go into the savefile and remove that mod as well.
I have manually removed the outliner mod as well.
I keep looking into it, it might also be a download error (Sometime steam workshop downloads parts of a mod and misses files)

In any case, I have not gotten any crashes in a while now.
I recommend leaving it for now, since it is "A modded save" and "A beta branched save" So crashes are expected. I was just confused because normally errors tells me "WHERE" the error is, but this time I just had to do trial and error way.
