I misjudged just how far away the target location was :)
In any case, for a nomadic tribe over land you'll need many sleds to transport valuables like food, tools, precious resources.
Look for a bunch of berry buches, fruit trees, or some other food source and build a simple camp there.
Once you harvested the location for all its worth you can break camp and move on to the next location, again with a local food source.
When moving the tribe look out for your saps stamina.
Not sure if that's the best way to go about it but it worked for me.
When my tribe finally arrived at the target location it already had sleds full with bronze tools and spears among other things.
