Awesome, thank you!
Some ideas i had to increase immersion in the game. I can present a more detailed version of each point if theres interest in it. Maybe consider it in the next dlc or grand campaign. I think that this would make the game much deeper and original, and more interesting to play for veteran of the franchise.
1. Replace heros with unit commanders akin to Panzer General 3D SE;
2. Have Headquarters between mission to manage your units and Leader inspired in PzG 3D SE again;
3. Manage your Force composition, selecting the companies that would form a battalion, inspired in Hearts of Iron IV Division Composition;
4. Appointing Regimental, Divisional and Maybe Corps Commanders that rise from your Battalions Commanders;
5. Having your Own Character get promotions and medals trough the campaign increasing your core and leaders limit and gaining special habilities, inspired in Panzer Strategy;
6. Most of the management could be made by your “Chief of Staff” if you so desire, or you could do it all yourself if you like it.
2. save the last "advanced" settings the player selected when starting a new game
3. add option for player to select a default zoom setting
4. add option to lock/fix sfx volume regardless of player zoom
5. add option for the possibility of heroes being killed or injured for x amount of turns when the host unit takes damage
6. add an encyclopedia of units with all there in-game stats, brief IRL history and a rotating or rotatable 3d model of the unit displayed.
These are some great suggestions!
1. You can play your own scenarios (made with editor) on co-op + more handmade / random generated co-op and pvp missions
2. Ability to select nations to all players in random scenarios
3. Normal multiplayer lobby (with password / invite, ability to remove scenarios etc.)
4. More visible units on certain terrains. (sometimes hard to see troops)
5. Possibility to add snow and ice in editor (don't know if that is a thing already)
On your last, you can pick from three different country maps, Africa, Russia and Europe to give some variety, haven't looked yet if there are snow tiles for the Russian one.
There was option to winter and snow in scenario parameters. Thanks!
1. Update the strategic map to the borders of 1939. At the moment, it's the European map of 1936.
2. Even better, make the strategic map dynamic. It would add to the progression of the campaign to actually see the border shift.
3. Add debriefings at the end of scenarios. This adds immersion as your actions determine the progression of the campaign, and in all honesty, it's just a nicer way of finishing a scenario than just a "Victory" screen. Atm, it feels too much like a disconnected string of scenarios.
4. Add some info about the progression of the war in the campaign window. Apparently, this could help with confusion of players in the Africa part of the campaign. Not everybody is fully familiar with the back and forth of the situation there.
Apart from that, I really like some of the features of PC2. The awards are great. I love that they have actual benefits and are not just some random picture. The fact that you can individually upgrade them is also nice. I am also ever so happy about the fact that you have changed some scenarios. PC1 took the map design of the campaign directly from Panzer General. It's nice that PC2 did not do this and that you offer choices.
1. A slider to allow the player to increase/decrease the default core slots. I know heroes can do
this, but it's not quite the same thing.
2. A slider for heroes.
Position 1 = status quo,
Position 2 = 2 slots per unit
Position 3 = 1 hero per unit
Some toggle options:
OP heroes take 2 slots each
OP Hero Combos take 1 extra slot
Reduced unit size for historically rare units ie King Tiger, ME 262
Lesser victories ie indecisive, minor, etc. (advance in campaign, but get reduce prestige)
An option to make resupply cost a turn (as in old titles), instead of happening
automatically each turn.
1. I know you have medals as game progresses for units. I like to see a screen popup after battle showing a soldier receiving the medal.
2.I like the way on amphibious landing you can move, I'd like to see them move and attack, also for the paratroopers.
3.I hope you add smaller side battles to game extra experience and prestige leading up to larger battles.
4. I haven't been able to recruit paratroopers, I can't spell the german name for them. I like to be able to recruit them early on.
5.I would like to see the units get dirtied up a little as battle turns go by.
6.I wish you would add a graphic to show how much entrenchment a unit has, as you suppress the graphic starts to get smaller.
7.I wish as you win battles you can gain positive or negative character traits.
That's all I can think of at the moment, I'm loving this game. Great job.
lol. not being a political history buff, what changes happened to national boundaries between 36 and 39?
+1, hahaha, was thinking the same thing when I first saw this.
