$79.99 Really?
Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Matrix and Slitherine and own a lot of their games my favourites being Order of Battle and Panzer Corps. I had been looking forward to Panzer Corps 2 for a while but when I saw the price tag, Wow!, almost $80.00 USD for a turn based game? I admit it, PC2 looks great, but $80.00! Sorry, I will purchase PC2 eventually but not for this price.

The base game without the bonuses and DLCs should be $39.99 USD at/around launch.

Still, over $60.00? I will wait until it goes down to about $25.00. Oh sure, I will wait a year but I still have lots of Order of Battle to work on.

Not sure where $79.99 comes from - even the maximum price and without pre-order discount is $10 less.

When released, the base game will be $40. If I'm not mistaken, this is how much both Panzer Corps and Order of Battle (and in fact many other Slitherine games) cost when first released.

Only got 2 hours of play so far and it's actually good. They have some Huge maps to play on with lots of units. Battles could take several hours to complete. There are several different settings you can change to enhance your experience.

It's an extremely well made game in a niche genre, but I'm glad we've established your value proposition and you got to vent about it. See you in a year or so.

OP looks like they are from Canada, so maybe the currency conversion is higher?

Well, he mentioned "almost $80.00 USD", I cannot believe that the price for Canada is so much higher due to conversion, but what do I know. :)

Yeah I'm not sure. I just went to Whistler, British Columbia in January and the exchange rate is definitely not in Canada's favor lately. 1 USD = 1.35 CAD.

Edit: Their taxes are higher too.

I did buy it via Gamestore in Germany and did pay about .... well was 45 Euros or something like that, thats a reasonable price for an AAA Title including bonuses and 2 DLC`s.
And it seems the game is more then worth its money, so no reason to complain.

Only change the price if you can't meet your projections in time, right? I have a lot of free games or paid very little in bundles and still never picked them up. The OP needs to save up and pay for it when it makes sense to him/her.
