Update: the crash was fixed and we have an internal build that our QA is smoke testing.
Our plan (and this is a new approach), is to open a public Mac RC branch for anyone interested as soon as possible (but it may be next week). That build still needs to undergo our full QA testing, but the basics ought to work, and it should be possible to join multiplayer again.
The final release of 2.18 will follow still later, pending the testing and whatever is found.
A public Release Candidate branch for Mac 2.18 is now available.
Use access code Arma3Update218MacRC for the 'beta' branch in Steam client.
This build should be multiplayer-compatible with Windows, but please note that it has not yet completed our full QA testing, only smoke testing of the basics.
The final release of 2.18 for Mac will still receive at least one more iteration (f.e. with yesterday's mini-update version and support for Expeditionary Forces Creator DLC).
