As far as i know( i do not own the contact dlc) the device is only usable in the dlc-campaign and useless outside of it. Please correct me if i am wrong. If so it would be nice if some functions could be made available outside the campaign. if not as a free update, maybe as part of a potential Electronic-Warfare-DLC?
Some ideas:
- Short range drone jamming
- signal detection and triangulation(using directional ant.)
- signal decoding and manipulation with proper encryption keys obtained
