Graphics card cooks
My graphics card “ AMD RX 6600 ”goes to 100% on the Spain Map I think the map needs some optimization. Does anyone else have this problem?

Oh ya it runs pretty hot here too, especially on Spain.

graphics card going to 100% is normal unless you have an absolute monster of a card. rx 6600 is also a fairly old card.

If you don't want your card cooking you can try setting and FPS limit or messing with undervolting if you feel comfortable with that. You can also try messing with some of the graphics settings to get a better performance with minimal visual loss.

to prevent your graphics card from working at 100%, you need to set the fps lock .

While the FPS on that map, according to Afterburner readouts and Radeon readouts stays at a flat 70 FPS, I can visually see the occasional drop in FPS on my screen.

This is on a 7900 XTX and a 5900X at 4.6 Ghz on all cores...

So I think it does need a bit of optimisation...

Hello, I have set the FPS limit to 65

3 years old today? I also have no problems with the performance, without FPS limit I get over 100FPS, I just wanted to tell you that my graphics card runs at 100% in Spain, it doesn't do that on the other maps
Ya I always cap my FPS in my drivers. The game runs pretty hot for me these days since coming back to it but Spain is kinda next level. Its not dangerous hot but it's cookin!

Yep, but it's good enough for frying eggs :laughing_yeti:

I do not know what your problem is. I specifically checked the load on the old GF2060 (2018y), it is minimal. Maybe you have some kind of parallel computing running on a video card? Or are you using 4k resolution?

I'm having this problem on the Pra River. 99% GPU load FPS lock @80FPS
Resolution 1920x1080

CPU Ryzen 7 9800X 3D

GPU RTX 4070TI Super

i have a RX 6600 FPS limit at 65, 1080p no other programs running on the side, card at 95-100% load, CPU 50-60% load
What % do you want it to run at? The card is not that strong. It's normal for GPUs to run at 100% if they aren't a lot stronger than the game they are playing. The point being, the card is going to use all of it's power to run the game the best it can. After that it's up to you to adjust everything to whatever power saving settings you are comfortable with.

You can also look at adjusting GPU intensive settings that will be making your card work a lot harder for not much graphical gain.

А какие настройки графики на этом скриншоте, минимальные???

3 things determine graphic card load:

- CPU type.
- Game settings.
- Monitor resolution.

You need to list all 3 in order to get a better understanding of what might be happening.

Percentage does not equal temps like back in 2000....just because the GPU is utilized at 100% does not mean its running at super high temps....some people need to learn how modern hardware works. Non issue and very irrelevant issue being brought up. Worry more about temps as that is when you start throttling and losing performance. Of course it does not sound like you have a very strong system if your CPU usage is at 50-60% load,

Im running at 7% cpu and 61% gpu (thats about 50c on cpu and 55c on gpu, which only goes up a max of 10c at 100% usage on gpu) at 5k 2k ultrawide res with everything maxed out and 70 fps cap on a modern 2 1/2 year old system...if your system is struggling thats when you turn things down...people with bigger hardware specs should not be penalized with low graphics fidelity because people cant understand to turn the graphics down to match their hardwares capabilities.
