Monaco
Unable to run online multiplayer game
I picked up Monaco again after ten years so I could show my friends this adorable game. I created an online lobby for them and sent invites that they both accepted, but neither of them were able to join my lobby. We can't figure out why.

From my end: After my friends accepted my invites, I briefly saw all three of us on the character selection screen. Then my friends were kicked from the lobby after several seconds and it was just me and two empty character selection slots.

From their end: They clicked on my game invite and got stuck looking at a Connecting to Server message on the level select screen. They never made it to the character selection screen.

My lobby shows up in the open lobby list for them, so we know it exists. None of us are using VPNs and we all live in the US. I'm assuming that Monaco still supports online multiplayer, since I've seen a few people asking for help with multiplayer achievements. Does anyone know what's keep us from playing this game together?

Do they can join your lobby manually without to send invites? They need to look for the mission with an "antenna" on it (assuming you all are in the same game mode).

Yes, we were definitely all in the same game mode and could see the game lobby. We decided to try again today and were able to get in, though! I think the Steam servers may have had the hiccups yesterday -- of COURSE it would happen on the first day in ten years that I decide to play Monaco online again. But thank you for responding to me! Your comment reassured me that multiplayer was still supported and there was a solution to our problem.

Thankfully it sorted fine : ) Have lots of fun ^^/
Hi! I'm having the same issue with my friend, both of us are in the same situation, both have attempted hosting, both of us have restarted game.
You don't own the game, what are you trying to do exactly? For online multiplayer need two copies of the game, for local or Remote Play Together one is enough, sharing a copy from Family Sharing probably is not going to work.

I had a game with a friend of mine just now and nothing was wrong (aside getting killed once) ^^' As for our usual, one goes in the mission and the other follows, no invite needed.
