NIMBY Rails

A Logic Question
I now have a station with two platforms in one direction, and a train is already stopping at the main platform. I have correctly placed a signal at the turnout in front of both platforms and added this path select signal for the station, and the sub platform has been selected in the line. But my second train still looks ahead to the main platform, so it starts slowing down very early in order to stop, and doesn't reaccelerate until it reaches the signal to go into the sub platform.

Since the train can look ahead to see if there are other trains ahead and match the speed accordingly, the train must have communicated with something rather than the train having radar.

So, if there is communication when looking ahead, why can't it get some valid information about the signal ahead? I mean, don't let the second train look ahead to a platform with a train on it, and look ahead to other platforms after reassigning the path?

To summarize, this update has such a bug, especially for multi-platform stations.

It is documented in the patch notes in the top of this forum that 1.17.6 does not handle this case properly, yet.
