Suggestion: Elevate Roads Above Stations Without Tunnels
Hello,

I'm currently working on recreating Paris as accurately as possible based on real-world track layouts. However, I'm running into a problem with the intersection "Place de l’Europe – Simone Veil", which sits directly above the track throat of Gare Saint-Lazare.

In the game map, this intersection is placed at elevation 0, but Gare Saint-Lazare is not an underground station, and I’d like to avoid mixing visible track switches with tunnels or underground layers just to make things fit.

So my question is:
Is there any way to raise road segments to elevation 1 in order to have the road pass above the station throat, without forcing the rail below into a tunnel?

Thanks in advance!

This one is a difficult one. If I am reading the map right, roads appear to be at the ground level (e.g. where houses are built) and the railroad is effectively below ground level in an open cutting. It's a relatively rare case and elevating the roads would create issues in many other places, and you can't really elevate just some roads.

Couple of possible approaches you could use.

- Build the track at ground level, and then cover the roads with similar looking "buildings" at level 1. This requires that you use one of the track types that do not conflict with roads.

- I have a track pack mod with one of the types that looks the same at every level, i.e. tunnel would look as if it was at the ground level. My track never conflicts with roads. The collection is here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3155652737 - the type in question is 5th from the top in the pictures of different track types.
Thanks for the quick reply.

That’s a great suggestion, thank you for your support. From now on, I’ll be using your tracks for further construction.
