Report a translation problem
As a solution of sorts, perhaps rebuild the station? Not sure how difficult this may be. Perhaps you can try by setting another station nearby (not connected to anything and separate from the original one) and just see if it also changes its name automatically. If it does not, then delete the old station and move the new one in its place.
That still didnt work out good...
Have you reduced your platform footprints to minimal (2 meters)?
Before footprint reductions became possible, I had an issue like this and for no better option just moved the depot 20 meters or so away. I am also playing realistically but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. With reduced footprints though, unless depot tracks are in between the station tracks, you can get away with moving them just about 1 meter typically.
