No text displaying upon startup on buttons

Have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but it didn't help. I saw a post about replacing the config file but then it just crashed the game when I tried to start again. I am really looking forward to trying this out so hoping someone knows an easy solution here?

This bug should be fixed in the 1.14 beta. You can opt into the beta by right clicking the game in your Steam library game listing, select Properties, then Betas, and the beta branch. There is no password.

Also, after you get it working, you might want to reduce the UI scale in the game options. The game queries this setting to match the Windows setting but for some reason I am seeing more and more Windows setups with very high UI scales not really justified by the DPI of the display.

Hey dev,

I just bought the game and have the same issue on a 4K screen. Just to clarify you're referring to the "Public beta builds" branch? While it's not clear from what I have read as a new customer, it's pretty easy to deduce when the rest of the branches are listed as obsolete. Just thought I'd point this out as other newbies may be scratching their heads too.
