To help with mod creation, FUM also have a list of traits, Icon IDs (Plus what they look like), game commands and more. Many of these lists are incomplete but they are useful for reference.
I've had numerous crashing, syntax error and all kinds of crap before FUM simply because of small easily-missable errors like an extra comna, a mispelled name, a space, etc. FUM REALLY helps with finding those error very easily.
It's not perfect quite yet and is still 1.0 so if any issues arise, do say so!
Also I will say, though, that getting into the habit of pressing "Apply Changes" can be quite a task at first but I couldn't think of any better way to apply changes without it doing it automatically since I didn't want accidental "modification" to happen without the user's knowledge. If you can think of a better way, please do say so. Unless pressing "Apply Changes" before modifying different Units is fine with everyone.
Also I'm a HUGE DIMWIT.
When going into BETA Level Editor and clicking the "Click Me" button, you'll get a screen talking about installing my custom scenario filled with custom enemies and such.
..... But I never actually say the Scenario. XD I'm an idiot. For those wondering, doing that modifies Challenges: Starport Sweep. I recommend you give it a try!
:) I think the comments section here would be bombarded with "help" questions.
You extract to a folder of your choosing and identify the game directory.
@Nivium How does patching work? I'd like to use FOM to swap in non-.modpack mods with the Excel files, etc. I assume I can't manually make those into modpacks without entering the data myself, which I'm definitely not going to do. I can't figure out where the patch files are stored.
Please join my Discord and ask. (Makes this comment section a bit more organized.)
Got it downloaded! Version 1.5 was amazing, and I'm looking forward to trying out the updated version soon. Keep up the great work!
Assuming you're not the same user that joined my Discord Server seeking help for the same thing
Just got someone claiming the same thing. After some work with them on my Discord Server, it seems to not only be a false positive but also a strange mistake on Antivirus' end.
Is your Trojan detection on "Memory.dll"? That's an official Microsoft file (From their Microsoft .NET libraries) so chances are perhaps an update to your antivirus is mistakenly marking this file as Trojan.
You can try download FUM v1.922r and using the in-app Updater to get to v2.0r to see if you still have issues.
You should join my Discord Server for any extra help. ^-^
