MicroWorks

About the limits of MicroWorks' modding capability.
Hello, I would like to know two relatively simple things about the limits of MicroWorks' modding capability. Firstly, is it possible, for example, for the game to replicate information from a mod installed by one player to another player who owns the room but doesn't have the mod? (Example: Player 1 installed a mod allowing their character KAI to dance or perform any other animation emote. If Player 1 enters the room of Player 2, who doesn't have the mod, will the mod conflict with MicroWorks, or will both players be able to see Player 1 dancing or using the emote?) Secondly, is it possible to create custom options for the game itself? Thank you, and I apologize for asking something so specific. I hope I haven't caused any inconvenience!

Hey r,

1. Yes, replicating custom methods on the client will require the client to have the mod installed to be able to fulfill them.

2. If you've meant custom settings, it is currently not possible.

Thank you for this information! I can’t wait for see other players mods and create my own! I hope this system come for us like you guys want to give.
Edit: My goal was to create a "Universal" mod called "MicroWorks +," where the game would become almost entirely customizable, with new types of tutorials and systems, emotes, new microgames, new special rounds, new supreme stages, and even a new avatar editor, among other features, to enhance the gaming experience until you either incorporate them or serve as a testing ground for system experiments. The only issue was the game communicating with someone who doesn't have the mod, and, as you mentioned, creating new options isn't possible. This mod idea might seem a bit silly and "childish," and I'd probably try and then give up later :/ Nevertheless, I'll still create some mods for new supreme stages, just to contribute. Thanks for clarifying, Noam!

It's an awesome idea! Although I hate to be a party pooper, you should keep in mind that the game's moddability will be fairly sandboxed, and while you'll have tons of freedom and flexibility in the scripting department, it will still only be possible to use in places they were designed to be used:

* Custom Microgames
* Custom Boss Stages
* Custom Scenes
* AutoRun Scripts (scripts that run whenever a game level starts)
