"Monster Train" felt quite similar to me. It is a very different game (deck-building) but with the same puzzle-like feel to it, lots of different strategic and tactical approaches and a big rng factor as well.
Anothe game that comes to mind, which is more similar to Slipways mechanical-wise, is "Terraformers".
Also thanks to everybody for recommending Terraformers, I really like this one.
Definitely a great game (IMO)! Also pretty different mechanical-wise, it has that puzzle-feel to it for sure. I'd like to add that TTA has the best bots I've ever played against in any game. And unlike Civ et al, these bots dont get any boni but are and stay still fairly challenging.
