EA? Beta?
Just saw the news about the April 25th release.

Will there be EA or Beta? I'd playtest the ♥♥♥♥ out of it.

There sure is! April 25th is the EA launch. :)

Do you know about how long it will be in early access? I was really bummed when I read that it would be an early access game. I hope it won't take too long before the final release.

That depends on game sales! I expect I'll be continuing to develop the game for at least a year--and if sales justify the investment, then maybe beyond that.

That said, I really can't stress enough that this isn't just a one-and-done linear story game; this is something that will absolutely be worth playing at launch, then continuing to replay thereafter. :)

Thank you for the response, Sinister! I just am really down on early access lately, and am no longer buying them. Are you saying that the game will be worth playing at FULL launch, or will it be worth playing at EARLY ACCESS launch?

I love your previous game, so I could be swayed. But, I am not interested in half of a game with lots of missing systems during early access.

Sure, there's been a few rotten apples, but many of the deepest, most expansive classics were EA: Mount & Blade, Kenshi, et al.

Games in perpetual development (ones that actually receive updates) means more content and better gameplay/balance from player feedback - what's not to like?

Sinister Design has a proven track record with the Telepath series, even redoing the engine from the ground up and offering the new version to old players for free, years later-- it's not like he's going to run with your money.
