Is it possible to not move the story forward?
Like continue grinding in arena without advancing leagues to get some good gear?

Hey Glenn! It is possible, yes, but that involves losing arena battles. Surrendering will lose you the battle without taking casualties, but will result in you taking back a lot less money.

So whenever the league battles comes up, I can just surrender to delay advancing? Cool. Do surrender at League Qualifiers or League Battles?

Either one should halt forward progression.

hi, I tried surrendering one battle, but after that the Ghariel League matches do not appear anymore. Have I borked the save? I have one to roll back

Hm, that shouldn't happen. Was the match you surrendered in a league match or a pick-up match?

League match. I have since reloaded and completed it normally but it should be replicable by just surrendering?

Let me know if you need the saves... I just tested it again by surrendering and it just dumps me into camp.

All right, I figured it out! This is now fixed for version 0.2.04. :)

It works now in the latest patch which is good. Now I can train my army in peace!
