There isn't any sort of deliberate gender inversion in Together in Battle. Characters are proc gen, with traits assigned more or less randomly: you're just as likely to end up with men in any given class as you are women. The same goes for personality traits, backgrounds, family relationships, etc. Whether or not you would consider that "woke," I couldn't say.
