It will definitely be possible to recruit characters of all six species at launch (though some of them are available only through random events, with others increasing in availability upon completing certain side quests).
Three of the arena leagues will be playable at launch, as will two league qualifier battles (read: boss fights) and a smattering of side quests. In all, there should definitely be enough there to sustain "runs" of 10 hours or more each as of launch day.
Post-launch, I'll be filling out the rest of the arena battles, creating the rest of the league qualifier fights, creating an arena championship fight, creating the rest of the main plot events, adding in plot battles, creating a final battle, and just generally writing more random events, side quests, and variants to the characters that you can get. :)
what do you mean by "runs" of 10 hrs each?
The game is meant to be replayed, as each playthrough (or "run") will offer different characters, battles, and series of random events.
