As the OP alluded to, it can be frustrating especially at the end of a battle when you kill the last enemy who drops some loot but the battle is immediately won and over and done with. You have no way of picking it up.
Yeah this is the only thing i had an issue with so far.
You should have been allowed to finish your turn so that you could pick up the bag the last enemy dropped.
yeah exactly, that feels like a bug to me.
I think it'd be fun to have a mechanic where you have some probability to loot leftovers after battle (call it 50/50) that can be raised/lowered with character stats / abilities / equipment.
I'm very much a fan of push-your-luck mechanics in games - do I risk prolonging the battle for a chance at picking up the loot? Or do I risk taking the 65% chance of autolooting at the end? choices choices...
I think it could be part of difficulty choice. The last person you kill is usually a leader who most often does have some loot. I think of it as a feature, I need to have some stuns on my team to kill him earlier when someone else on his team is frozen or something like that.
I like that some loot doesn't get picked, but I understand on some lower difficulty, it may be annoying.
Or just have it coded that the last enemy you kill never drops anything....
Drops are decided in the beginning of the arena match (precoded for qualifiers). You can view their inventory.
