Bronze Golem and Garsul
I love this game! However, after day 50 I'm starting to think...

The Bronze Golem and the Garsul classes both seem incredibly weak compared to others. Am I missing something here?

The Bronze Golem seems like it's supposed to be a damage dealing tank, but it's less tanky and deals less damage than many others. And it's area of effect powers are too hard to position for.

Meanwhile, Garsul is poor healer, poor fighter, and has very low HP. What's the strength of this guy?

Gasul is probably the weakest class in the game at the moment. They are too squishy for their melee abilities to be worth using (and those abilities are shared with Barduit, so... meh). Then there's the healing, which is both outclassed and weaker than a Psi Healer's (Psi Healers have more options and more power). The only way I've made Gasul work (even then, it was underwhelming) was to make a custom one with Muscular and Nimble (dancer background) so it had some damage and could avoid things to keep it alive. Randomly generated Gasuls have always been trash from my experience. The only upside is 5 movement, but dash boots (or shoes, whatever) exist for human Psi Healers, and then there's Shadowling Psi Healers, which make Gasuls look completely useless (6 move + flying + teleportation + everything good about a Psi Healer).

As for Bronze Golem, yeah, they're more of a wall than anything else. The damage they can do is decent (and they can get weird backstabs if you line them up correctly). They can take a huge beating too but when you compare them to what a Stone Golem can do, it's kind of pointless to be using Bronze. Though on the bright side, they're amazing for explorations due to the fact they can open chests with buzz saw 2 (the 2 range one) without any cost or risk. They do get a little better later on when they get rending arc (AoE damage + armor break), but it's still kind of iffy.

Both of these classes were recently buffed, but most of those buffs went to their promoted variants, so you won't see them before hitting level 20/Book of Power-ing. I do think I'll be giving a few more health buffs to unpromoted gasul in the next update, though, as they're currently a little frail to be serving their intended role as front-liners.

That would help Gasuls quite a bit.

I do have suggestion that might give them their own niche too. Like I said in my post, they are inferior to Psi Healers due to the lack of options they have (no far shield, big shield, etc) and their heals are a bit weaker (which is fine if they have another niche). Instead of giving them Psi Healer skills, you could give them something like the ability to remove debuffs like freeze, burn, immobile, etc. That would make them have a niche that separates them from Psi Healers.

I like this idea. Currently debuff cures are spread across the various elemental classes, so it's hard to reliably deal with debuffs unless you have them all.
