During the first mission where you can go and investigate the den, if you break down the door while the engineer has the papers and go into the office, an NPC will speak out about someone being in the office, but after that, the same will essentially softlock. The UI no longer comes up, and pressing any button doesn't do anything.

The only indication that something might be wrong is that there's a small speech bubble over the NPC that spoke, which stays there.

There doesn't seem to be anyway to get around this right now.
