Crashing - please help
Hi, I've not played since the spring, before the moons update, and now within a minute of me entering the game it crashes. I'm playing solo, using the same laptop I always have (over 50 hours played) and never had any issues before. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can stop it happening. All updates are up to date, including drivers etc. Thanks

Please try the Intel iGPU suggestions again and carefully.
Hello MISS007! Do you know what GPU / Graphics Card you have? If it's a NVIDIA GPU the latest Graphics Card Driver needs to be installed. These GPU Driver's Updates change monthly even on older and newer computers. Usually when a computer starts crashing because of a Online Game or from watching online videos, you'll know that the Driver needs updating. First check if you have the NVIDIA App, or NVIDIA settings App installed in your computer. Click on it and it should identify automatically if your driver needs updating. In side the App you should see Tabs - Home, Drivers, Graphics, System, Redeem, and Settings. If your in the right APP press on DRIVERS to update your GPU /Graphics Card. Once install is completed the App will automatically restart your computer to finish the update. If the Nvidia App is not installed in your computer, you can check the Microsoft Store App inside computer and search for Nvidia App and install it, or this is the Official Homepage for Nvidia drivers in the USA. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/ . Enter device info in drop down bars and if you don't know it the App will scan your computer and than update the drivers and it will also fix any other issues that the Nvidia scan detects. You can create an account and place a Shortcut onto your desktop or in your Start menu, so you can do your own Device driver updates. The updates will automatically be applied in all system settings. i'll check back with you. :-)

The above fix is for the Dedicated GPU that's installed in all computers and laptops. This GPU need monthly device driver updates to function correctly. A Intel Integrated GPU is not the issue. If you mess with this Intel Integrated GPU that's located on a MOBO /Motherboard. You can cause damage to it. It works in collaboration with you CPU Chip /The brain. Dedicated GPU's are for Medium to High-end gaming it a separate device within all computers. Except for Apple Mini's. Just go to online website, add a user account if you like so you can do Manuel or Automatic device driver updates on your own. It is safe to use, and Please DON'T ALLOW ANYONE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER FROM A PERSON YOU DON'T PERSONALLY KNOW THAT WANTS TO LINK / HACK INTO YOUR COMPUTER AND ADD SPYWARE. If your laptop battery drains faster that usual. You might want to invest in a laptop battery to has more power storage. Also keep Laptop plugged into a power source while playing Games or Browsing Online Videos. A weak battery will crash you computer, will cause daily PC updates to Bottleneck and crash your PC. You can turn off or set a time to tell computer not to run updates during game play and video browsing. To many internal Background Apps or process running in Background can cause system problems and crashes. Type in search bar next to Windows Icon and enter Background Apps. I will not hurt anything if you turn off all Background Apps. Only leave the one for Security ON. Background Apps will cut off all apps running in a hidden space. It will stop social media apps from using up to CPU. If the CPU / (Central Processing Unit - The Brain) is maxed out with to many processes running at the same time, it will causing Lagging, Crashes, Your Laptop will heat up fast. So it's best to turnoff background apps. Background Apps run hidden and keep most of the useless Apps open and ready for you to access them immediately. The is called Bloatware. Bloatware drains you CPU resources and you PC starts moving the speed as a SLOTH! Go to settings and than to Updates and make sure that no Updates are running while you want to play online games. Sometimes an Update needs to reboot PC in order to install a new update and when your playing games, the PC send you a notification to reboot and install this new update. But STEAM GAMING doesn't allow Notifications from outside sources to interfere while gaming, and you may not see the notification. So a unresponsive Notification window sent from the PC goes to the notification area and randomly acts as a pop-up to keep advising you a reset reboot is needed ASAP. Every time it pops-up I guarantee it will crash your game and you'll see applications say Not Responding. Will I'll check back later on to see what's up!

Thanks for all your help guys. I've spent hours trying all the things you've suggested and more. It does allow me on for a minute or two at times but then crashes when I do something like open storage or try to view one of the screens or something so I think maybe it's gone beyond the capabilities of my laptop unfortunately :( appreciate you all trying to help me

Given that description of events, please try the following.

1: Open the game.
2: Open the Options menu, and go to the Graphics Tab.
3: Double-check the various settings therein, particularly screen resolution and refresh rate, making sure the values listed are all correct for your screen/graphics card.
4: If any of the values look weird or obviously incorrect, adjust them as necessary.
5: Also make sure that the game is set to run in Fullscreen mode, rather than windowed or Fullscreen-Windowed mode,
6: Once done, exit from the options menu and open your world.
