issue playing on selena planet

I've been having an issue when opening the game on Selena. it's happened twice now, i save the game and close it for the night, next morning i start it up and just cant see anything. all i see is black, no compass, no menu, nothing just a black screen but i can hear my menu. I've tried the "i'm stuck" in the options navigating the menu blind, it did nothing. I've tried waiting to see if my character would die of hunger or thirst but no i seem to be immortal in this void.
my only work around is to change my coordinate in my save data to coords on Planet prime and build a new rocket to travel to back Selena. travelling to Selena works and is playable but closing and starting my game on Selena is unplayable.

I love this game, pls halp.

Don't know if this will help but flint has a detailed entry on this post of changing the savefile to go back that may be different than what you've tried.

thank you but that's pretty much my workaround at the moment, i open my save data and change the planetID and my coordinate to my base coords on prime.
my issue remains though, closing the game while on selenea and trying to load in on selenea results in being stuck in nothingness.

Probably can't be, (the symptoms don't sound the same), but do you have any animals on selenea ?

i have two animals yes, would they be the issue?

i didn't have the animals the first time it happened though.

Then this probably won't help but I guess till someone comes up with something better you could check this out.
I'm assuming you've already done a file integrity check on the game files and such.

yeah integrity check came up normal and i just took a quick look to check growth values and all animals on prime are "grwth":100 and the two on selenea are "grwth":50
