As a desktop companion software, it's ideal to have it running, but it's incredibly invasive on steam and discord (especially discord's rich presence)
Discord doesn't allow for disabling individual games from game activity, so I'll inevitably just have it showing forever? Not even as a matter of privacy or embarrassment, it just isn't smart to force it to show as active when the entire software is passive in use (some small wandering characters on a side monitor should not be broadcasted in the same way as an active game like a shooter or strategy game). Sharing activity in social spaces (steam/discord) is for when you want to talk about a game or invite others to join. Not much to say about a wallpaper/desktop program after all...
imho just set yourself to "offline" on discord and do not disturb/"offline" on steam. just means my friend can or sometimes cant invite me depending o nthe game and it hides your activity
