Pick Up Survivors and nearest Distress Signal
How does this mechanic work? Can I order helicopters or ships to automatically hunt for and pick up survivors or do I need to micro? Are there supposed to be markers for distress signals or is it just a guessing game for pilots?

It's a mini game you have to micro you get a little hint with distance and that's really it. No automation or markers.
Life rafts can be a bit hard to see so it can be a bit tedious if you don't know where you lost your pilot or the enemy pilot.
