Airbases in Mission Editor lack information about size/shape-effective placement almost impossible.
THE PROBLEM:
We have currently ZERO information about airbase assets that we're trying to place. I'm often trying to add airports/airbases to their real world positions, and doing that without knowing the shape/orientation/dimensions of the asset, makes this very frustrating experience.
1.Since the airbase is represented by the samey standard-sized default rectangle as any other group, we have absolutely no idea how the asset we're placing will be oriented, what shape it has, how much space it actually takes both on the map AND in the gameworld - we don't even know where exactly will the runway end up, on what side will be buildings.
2.Which leads to issues with placement of support assets. Trying to place SAMs/AAA guns in a reasonable distance/orientation around the airbase is also almost impossible, because thanks to no information about the base whatsoever, we never know if the assets are gonna end up AROUND the airbase (unless we put them miles and miles away), or within the perimeter fence, or on an apron, taxiway, or even on the runway itself.
The only way to check is running the mission, examine the area for a bit, then try to somehow mentally convert the 3d model to 2d image, and somehow keep reasonable idea about the asset size after returning to the editor, which is 1.time consuming and more importantly 2.thanks to different zoom levels & camera angles, essentially impossible thing.
I've had AAA guns in the middle of the runway several times, even though i used the smallest airbase (just a runway and hangar), angled the runway according to real world heading, and placed the AAA assets reasonable distance from the SQUARE ICON that represented the base on the map.
Somehow two immobile AAA guns ended up in the middle of the runway anyway, and some (luckily movable) SPAAGs were blocking parking aprons and the single available taxiway.
Trying to match real-world airbase/airfield locations/headings is just a wishful thinking at this point thanks to all of the above.

SUGGESTION
1.When a specific airbase asset is selected, either display a ghost image/sort of blueprint of the airbase, a simple 2d shape, that would correctly represent the asset dimensions and rwy orientation), so the player would know what is where in relation to each other (this would be extremely helpful for ANY assets, btw, not just for the airbases, especially when attempting to place vehicles/tank platoons in tight formations/convoys, but with airbases, it's obviously the biggest issue, thanks to their size).
Or,
2.AT LEAST, add topdown view of the model and width & length dimensions to the unit reference handbook, for each unique airbase asset separately, so players can at least draw some kind of an asset shape matching doodle on the map by using the already avaialable tools themselves, and that way would have at least BASIC knowledge about the airbase dimensions and orientation. Even that would help letting us know how much space the airbase occupies, and where the support assets should be placed in relation to it's borders/position.

Thaaaaanks.

P.S.
Is it just me overlooking something obvious, or is really the only way to move individual group member units via the formation editor? Because my attempts to intuitively drag'n'move'n'drop specific units on the map, failed miserably.
It seems that only entire groups can be dragged this way. IF that is the case, could you pretty please allow dragndropping movement for every individual unit? Always having to use the neat, but for this specific purpose really awkward formation editor. Also, the formation editor needs more sensitive zoom slider. Especially near full zoom, there's quite a bit of jump between few steps.
ONCE AGAIN, i find the inability to select & move individual units directly on the map so odd, that i'm almost completely convinced i'm just doing it wrong, that i'm overlooking some kind of a "select unit" function or something.
In case i wasn't overlooking anything after all, and map drag'n'drops were reserved only for the entire groups, please allow that for individual units as well. It's much faster than always having to go to the formation editor.

Also Thaaaaanks!

P.P.S.
LOVE THE GAME!!! Please make it even better by including these QoL changes...
