It may have to do with reloading a saved mission. In my case, all missions have been created under the Beta 191. Once reloading a state (middle of a custom created scenario), I notice that assets that I have flying (Helis/AWACS etc.) do appear to be in the position judging by the WP tracks, but the ICON of the asset is frozen in one place.

So it appears that the ICON x/y coordinates stops updating on the tactical map.
