I'm not looking for a boogie man, I'm dissapointed in what happened to HD 2D remake and just wanna make sure it didn't ruin this game. I have no tolerance for people catering to such things like changing Akira's art etc.

I'm sure this game has a potentially questionable translation or two if you were to compare it to the JP release, but I haven't noticed anything weird while playing, so far anyway.
Replacing "hell" with "heck" is the worst offender, among the weird Mercedes-esk church symbol.
The game's also original and isn't a retreading of an older game, so you can't really compare it to the "original vision", as this edition isn't much more than a re-release with a few added features. There's like 3 or whatever years between the OG and the re-release, meanwhile DQ2 is more than 30 years old.
And yes, I own the game. I do not post on my main account. I waited several years to finally get this game for a reasonable price and so far it's great.

Thanks, I was looking it up online last night and it sounds like most the tropes and other things that have made DG famous are in fact in here, it's why it has a Teen ESRG. Gonna buy it and look forward to enjoying Toriyama sense's work!

Fake account? I've spent 100 hours in the game and you can see the mouse icon indicating I own it. Just because I don't have my profile public. This isn't facebook kid.

Lv.0 + Private = Fake account

But it's hard to tell as Levels don't have to do with Achievements but from badges.
