"mixed" opponents give me the same cars in the grid
idk if this is a problem with the game itself or if I broke something while installing mods but it kind of sucks choosing a car like the F40 or GT90 and having the entire grid consist of the same car when I specifically chose the option for mixed cars.

anything I can do about it or is it just a quirk of this game?

Addon cars have a value set for their "Race class". I'd expect the "mixed opponents" setting only picks cars from the same class as the player car. If you only have a few addon cars installed, there might not be any with the same class value so you only get more of the player car.

Addon cars have an editcar.car which can be edited with WR_Editcar by Krom.
(Though that can also be password-protected, preventing you from making changes)
