Issue with project judging in "two for T"
I think this is project 4. I make the project to the specification on the chalkboard, right size and everything, but it always gets judged the same score.

Perfect score for materials, zero for weight and only 30/60 for dimension. It's just shy of the threshold for progressing past it.

I only use a couple finishing nails to hold the shape together. Am I doing something wrong with the project?

It sounds like your dimensions may be off. What is the length of your project?

I'm matching the length of it up to the length illustrated on the chalk board. Is that not correct?

If you are physically holding your project up the image on the chalkboard and cutting it to that length, that won't get you the proper length because the drawing is not to real-world scale.

I failed to convey that clearly for the first few projects, but for the larger projects later on, it's more clear that the object you are building is not the same size as the drawing on the chalkboard.

Can you please put the dimensions on the white board? I have no idea why they aren't there. It is very difficult to accurately measure anything, and especially the chalk board.

Same issue here, i'm pretty sure i'm cutting it to the right dimensions. No matter what the dimensions are, once i try to finish, the "weight" goes up to 9, then jumps to zero. I have tried this atleast 5 times already, cutting it to different lengths but no chance. Either the weight stays at 0, or if i start from the beginning it goes to 9 and then drops to zero.

So i'm getting perfect score for materials, 0 for weight and 30/60 for dimensions. Always the same.

Any ideas how to fix this ? Currently stuck in the game because of this.

I'm working on adding a 'hint' button on the clipboard that will reveal dimensions on the chalkboard on a per-challenge basis. So hang tight on this.

In the mean time, have you checked out H2OScorpio's guide on getting real world scale? Real world scale guide

See my post above about the guide and coming dimensions hinting.

With respect to you seeing 30/60 on the dimensions:

The dimensions score is made up of a composite score judging the overall extents of your project dimensions, and the relative center of mass of your project.

In your case, I suspect you have full points for relative center of mass, but your overall dimensions are out of acceptable tolerance.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your replies! I appreciate the responses.

I eventually cut it to around half length and it passed. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing measurements listed somewhere/

I'm having a lot of fun with the game, don't get me wrong, but maybe including measurement requirements would be good for a future patch?

Thanks again for your input!

The future patch just arrived! I just pushed Update 1, which includes help with dimensions on the chalkboard.

That is amazing, thank you so much!

Related, but not sure where to post this:

Measuring tools only allow drawing along ruler axis. There are lots of ways to measure, but one of the most standard is to line up the speed square, find your dimension, make a tick mark perpendicular to number. Also, some nicer speed squares have indentations that you can lock your pencil into while sliding the square along the T-edge. That was you can scribe a parallel line along and entire piece of wood. Maybe that can be a goal to unlock :)

I agree more advanced ways of marking would be cool, thanks! You can post suggestions in the Feedback or Future Feature Discussion sub forums, or on the vrkshop Discord[discord.gg]
